While my journey with professional photography began in 2009, my creative journey started at a very young age. From the time I could fingerpaint and hold a pencil I loved drawing, painting, and writing, and always knew I wanted to grow up and be a creator in some capacity. In addition to pursuing photography after college I decided to get my Alaska teaching certificate and spent 10+ years teaching middle school math—a big departure from what I thought I would be doing but nonetheless some very good and rewarding years of my life.

After some personal losses and several years of reevaluation and reflection, I’ve returned to where my passions lie and am picking up my camera again to do what I love most. Alaska has been my home for 40 years and while it will always have a big piece of my heart, I’ll be moving in late summer to Chicago to join my fiancé before our wedding in September. That being said, I’ll keep serving Alaska as long as Alaska will have me and will never tire of adventurous shoots in the mountains and meadows we make our playground. At the same time, I can’t wait to make new friends in and around Chicago! ♡
